An island needs clearance on all sides and planned power and plumbing points. Confirm these before flooring is finished.

Is a wet kitchen worth adding?
For families who cook traditional meals often, a wet kitchen keeps strong smells and heavy washing away from the main kitchen. It adds cost but improves daily use.
Which shutter finish lasts best near the sea?
Well-edged laminates are durable and practical. Acrylic and PU look richer but need careful sealing and cleaning in salty, humid conditions.
Does hard water affect kitchen cabinets?
It mainly affects sinks and taps, but splashes around the sink can damage poor-quality boards. BWP plywood and sealed edges near the sink help prevent this.
Are prices for an island kitchen included here?
