Five ways to keep your budget on track

Choose appliances before cabinets
Buy or at least fix the models of your hob, chimney, oven and fridge first. Cabinet sizes, cut-outs and sockets are then designed around them.

Ask where the chimney duct can go
In many OMR towers the exhaust opening is pre-set by the builder. Confirm it during the site visit so the hob and chimney line up without awkward bends.

Favour drawers in base units
Deep drawers for vessels and a cutlery tray are easier to use daily than hinged shutters with shelves, and are a good place to spend part of the budget.

Decide on the countertop early
Whether you keep the builder granite or switch to quartz, finalise it before production so the sink and hob cut-outs match the cabinets.

Does the kitchen price include the chimney and hob?
The ranges on this page cover cabinetry, shutters and fittings. Appliances like the chimney, hob and oven are usually bought separately, though your designer can plan the cabinets around them.
Is BWP plywood necessary for an OMR kitchen?
It is strongly recommended for the sink base and areas near water, given the humidity in this part of Chennai. Your designer can explain where it matters most for your layout.
Can I keep the builder's granite and only add cabinets?
Yes, if the platform suits your layout. Keeping it can reduce cost. If you want a different shape, an island or more counter space, a new countertop may be needed.
Acrylic or laminate shutters, which is better here?
